1. Product Snapshot
We stock two main masonry lines:
Type | Nominal Size (L×W×H) | Compressive Strength* | Density | Format | Typical Use |
Common Clay Brick | 215 × 102 × 65 mm | ≥ 5 MPa | 1 950 kg m-³ | Solid (3-hole) | Non-load-bearing & internal leaves |
Engineering Clay Brick | 215 × 102 × 65 mm | ≥ 10 MPa | 2 050 kg m-³ | Solid | Retaining walls, manholes, damp courses |
Cement Brick (Hollow) | 390 × 190 × 190 mm | 7.5 MPa | 1 550 kg m-³ | 2-cell hollow | External & internal walls, high productivity |
Cement Brick (Solid) | 390 × 100 × 190 mm | 12.5 MPa | 1 850 kg m-³ | Solid | Load-bearing, fire walls, lift shafts |
- 28-day characteristic strength, tested to MS RM 001.
2. Key Benefits
Benefit | Project Advantage |
Thermal & Acoustic Mass | Clay’s natural mass moderates heat gain; cement bricks dampen noise up to 50 dB. |
Fire Resistance ≥ 2 h | Meets UBBL fire-rating for party walls & stair cores. |
Dimensional Accuracy ± 1 mm | Less plaster thickness, straighter walls, lower finishing cost. |
High Water Absorption Control | < 16 % for clay, < 10 % for cement—reduces efflorescence and improves mortar bond. |
Eco Options | Fly-ash cement bricks cut embodied CO₂ by 25 %. |
Palletised Supply | 500 pcs/clay pallet, 200 pcs/190 mm block pallet—fast forklift unloading, less breakage. |
3. Typical Applications

5. Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How many bricks per m² of wall?
Clay (65 mm): ~60 pcs m-² (215 mm thick), ~120 pcs m-² (½-brick thick).
Cement (190 mm): 12.5 pcs m-².
Q2: Can clay and cement bricks be mixed in one wall?
Not recommended—different thermal expansion and suction rates lead to cracking.
Q3: What mortar mix do you recommend?
1 : 6 cement:sand for clay; 1 : 4 cement:sand for cement bricks. Add plasticiser for workability.
Q4: Do you supply lightweight AAC blocks?
Yes—AAC 600 × 200 × 100-250 mm available on 4-week lead time.
